Dear Nigerian Leaders including the President Chief of Armed Forces and all Security Agencies

I pen this public message to urgently draw your attention to the alarming issue of kidnapping, particularly affecting the Arewa states such as Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto, and various other states. As the Founder of FLONY Foundation, Ambassador Hajiya Farida Musa Jauro, I implore you to take decisive action to address this growing menace and protect the lives and security of our fellow citizens. Kidnapping has become a pervasive problem in Nigeria, causing immeasurable pain and suffering to innocent individuals and families. The Arewa states, in particular, have been severely impacted by this criminal activity, which has led to widespread fear, instability, and a sense of helplessness among the people. It is imperative that we acknowledge the urgency of this situation and respond with the full force of our collective efforts. I appeal to you, as leaders entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding the welfare of Nigerians, to prioritize the issue of kidnapping and implement comprehensive strategies to tackle it head-on. This requires a multi-faceted approach that includes bolstering security operations, enhancing intelligence gathering, and ensuring swift and effective responses to incidents of kidnapping. It is crucial to allocate adequate resources, training, and equipment to our security agencies to enable them to combat this menace effectively. Additionally, I urge you to foster collaboration and information sharing among security agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. Kidnapping knows no boundaries, and a unified approach is essential to dismantle the networks behind these heinous acts. The exchange of intelligence, joint operations, and coordination among the various security agencies will greatly enhance our capabilities to rescue victims, apprehend perpetrators, and bring them to justice. Furthermore, we must address the root causes that breed kidnapping, such as poverty, unemployment, and social inequality. By investing in education, vocational training, job creation, and inclusive economic development, we can provide opportunities and hope for the youth, thereby reducing their vulnerability to criminal activities. I implore you to listen to the cries of the Nigerian people and act swiftly to restore peace, security, and stability in the affected regions. The safety and well-being of our citizens should be paramount, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that every Nigerian can live in an environment free from the constant threat of kidnapping. Let us work together to protect our people, preserve our unity, and secure a prosperous future for Nigeria. Sincerely, Ambassador Hajiya Farida Musa Jauro Founder of FLONY Foundation
